»  The Family Medical Leave topic (click here) under the Membership section and Leaves of Absence subsection was updated to correspond with a change in procedure.

»  A definition of merit protection for exemption purposes was provided under the Exempting topic (click here) under Membership.

»  A Phased Retirement summary (click here) has been added to the Retirement Application Process topic under Retirement Benefits.

»  Tier 1 and Tier 2 Public Employees Retirement Systems topic (click here) under the Eligibility and Certification subsection of Membership was updated to include school years as a valid time period for eligibility evaluation.

»  Minimum Earnings Requirements for Elected and Appointed Officials topic (click here) under Membership was updated with the 2017-2018 minimum earnings amount.

»  A Retirement Forfeiture for Felony update (click here) under the Adjustments topic of Membership was added.

»  We updated the salary limitation under Post-Retirement Employment (click here).

The section numbers were removed, and sections were reorganized to allow for easier site navigation.

»  Employer Responsibility topic (click here) under Death Benefit Coverage for Non-Retired and Retired Members was updated to include information on the Heroes Earnings Assistance and Relief Tax Act of 2008 (“HEART Act”).

»  Employment Dispute Settlements topic (click here) under Adjustments was added.

»  Compensation Definitions for URS Defined Benefit Plan (click here) was updated to include details from Board Resolution 2013-06 Clarification of Employer-given Cash Equivalents as Compensation. The Compensation Table was updated accordingly.

»  We provided a definition and reference for reemployment as an independent contractor under Post-Retirement Employment (click here).

»  Marketing Investment Advice was updated to include a listing of the new advisors and the updated geographic areas our advisors cover.

»  We added a Retirement Terminology section of frequently used retirement terms.

 

3^rd quarter

»  We provided clearing account statement transaction description details (click here) under the Clearing Account Statement topic of the Contribution Reporting section.

»  We clarified the positions eligible for exemption (click here) by tier under the Exempting topic of the Membership section.

»  We added an Exchange Employee topic (click here) under the Membership section and the Ineligibility for Retirement Coverage subsection.

 

4^th quarter

»  2018 compensation limits (click here) have been added under the Federal Compensation Limits topic of the Contribution Reporting section.
