»  We clarified the defined contribution limits for rehired retirees working for social security exempt employers (click here) under the General Information section, Social Security Exempt Employers subsection.

»  We updated the Eligibility Requirements for Higher Education Participating Employers (click here) topic under the Membership section, Eligibility and Certification subsection with guidance on retirement plan participation.

 

3^rd quarter

»  The Exchange Employees (click here) topic under the Ineligibility for Retirement Coverage subsection of the Membership section has been updated with limited guidance on which visas normally meet the criteria for holders to be considered exchange employees.

»  We added hyperlinks from the Executive Summary of Updates to the affected topics.

»  We updated the way we communicated the Tier 1 Minimum Earnings Requirement for Elected and Appointed Officials (click here).

 

4^th quarter

»  We updated the Workers’ Compensation (click here) topic under the Leaves of Absence subsection of the Membership section to change contact information and correct Public Safety Retirement System and Firefighters Retirement System procedures.

»  We corrected the Exempting (click here) topic under the Membership section to be consistent with statute. Tier 2 elected officials may exempt from the vesting requirements but are only eligible for the Defined Contribution Retirement System.

»  We removed references to specific visas, outside the J-1 visa, under the Exchange Employees topic of the Membership section.

»  We clarified that an HSA would be considered a benefit normally provided but not a retirement-related savings plan under the Post-Retirement Employment section. This section has also been reformatted for ease of use.

»  The Retirement Forfeiture for Felony subtopic under the Adjustments section was updated to include responsibilities employers have to initiating information sources.
