Starting July 1, 2025, a new post-retirement reemployment option will allow you to continue receiving your monthly pension benefit if you return to work within 90 days to one year after retiring.
If you meet the separation requirement, you can keep receiving your pension with these conditions:
Reduced Benefit: Your pension benefit will be reduced by 15% if you retired from a public safety or firefighter system, or by 20% if you retired from another system.
No COLA: You will not receive cost-of-living adjustments while reemployed.
